ACE Seeds – Haze x Kali China: Heavy branching and tropical Sativa genetics
The breeders of ACE Seeds crossed the infamous Purple Haze with Kali China to create an almost pure Sativa of exceptional quality. Purple Haze is commonly known to deliver a dreamy burst of euphoria, reminding veteran smokers of their first experiences with old school Haze. Kali China, the other basis plant, is an indica-dominant strain by ACE Seeds with flavours of sweet mango, hash and spices. Fusing the best genetics of these two strains into Haze x Kali China resulted in a tall, exotic, and highly potent Sativa.
Its indica-leaning parent Kali China is the shortcut: 22% THC, 75% indica, done in 8-9 weeks.
When Haze x Kali China is grown from seed or clones, it’s best to make the switch to a 12/12 lighting regime very early, in order to limit final heights. Another way would be to use a ScrOG net, and thereby take advantage of the pronounced Sativa stretch. This strain reacts very positive to pruning, and has 80% Sativa genetics. Haze x Kali China has a long flowering time of 12-14 weeks, and grows into a tall structure of a tropical Sativa. Outdoor growing can only be recommended in tropical or subtropical climates, and low to medium amounts of fertilizers are sufficient. Especially nitrogen has to be given in moderation.
The high of Haze x Kali China couldn’t be much more intense, despite the fact that THC levels were only tested medium to high, ranging from 15-18%. Many strains have a few percent more, but won’t deliver the almost psychedelic experience Haze x Kali China does. Smokers can expect an exceptionally strong Haze high, and flavours of tropical fruit, incense, hash, and aromatic wood.
It takes great courage to grow a Haze variety with a flowering period of 12-14 weeks. This is definitely not a strain for novices looking for a quick way to produce average quality bud.
