While experts are undecided on the origins of the aptly titled Albino A+ strain, most agree that its unique colouration is the result of a leucistic mutation—a defect in pigment cells that causes its creamy white appearance. That said, it’s also common for this variety to develop light blue pigmentation (similar in appearance to bruising) as mushrooms mature. Still, that doesn’t make a full flush look any less impressive, with large fruits and long stems jutting from every angle.

Fortunately, it isn’t just the appearance of Albino A+ shrooms that delights cultivators. This strain is known for being easy to work with and fast-fruiting—a bonus for fledgling psychonauts. In fact, Albino A+ is an excellent choice for newbies, as it’s possible to harvest large quantities of shrooms regardless of whether you’re using grain or coco coir. Of course, in the hands of an expert, this Psilocybe cubensis strain excels, delivering multiple fully loaded flushes.

When your mushrooms are picked and dried, the real magic begins. While only moderately strong, Albino A+ is known for kicking in quickly, so plan accordingly. Perhaps the only downside is the mushroom's distinct taste, which is a lot more intense than some other cubensis varieties. If you really want to supercharge your next trip across the cosmos, consider lemon tek—a technique that also helps to mask Albino A+’s particularly mushroomy flavour. You can also try making blue honey, a super sweet treat that maintains a normal onset and trip intensity while still overcoming Albino A+'s distinct taste.

Recommended Use

• Use within 2 months after delivery. Store in a cool, dark place such as the refrigerator. Protect from UV light.
• 2–5ml per litre/quart jar of sterilised grain.
• Shake well before use. This helps to loosen the mycelium, ensuring an even distribution when applying the liquid to different substrates/spawn containers.
• After use, the liquid culture should be stored in the refrigerator. Dry thoroughly before replacing the protective cover to prevent rust from forming on the needle.
• Additionally, you can heat the needle with a lighter to evaporate residual water, before allowing it to cool. Once cool, replace the protective cover, secure the LC in a ziplock bag, and store it in the refrigerator.

Important Considerations

• While more LC generally leads to faster colonisation, it’s not recommended to exceed 5ml per litre/quart jar.
• For grain still moist after hydration/sterilisation, less LC per litre/quart jar is safer, as excess water can lead to bacterial growth.
