Choosing the Right CO₂BAG Size: M vs XL
CO2BAG is available in two sizes to suit different grow space requirements. Both variants use the same proven CO₂-producing formula; the difference lies in coverage area, lifespan, and total output.
The M variant is designed for smaller grow areas of up to 4 m². With 100 grams of active content, it delivers consistent CO₂ enrichment for approximately 1–3 months, depending on airflow, temperature, and room conditions. This makes it ideal for compact grow tents or small rooms.
The XL variant is intended for larger grow spaces of up to 6 m². Containing 150 grams of active material, it provides a higher overall CO₂ output and remains effective for around 2–4 months. The XL option is best suited for larger rooms or growers who want longer-lasting supplementation.

When and Where to Use CO₂BAG
Introduce CO2BAG around two to three weeks after germination. Create six small holes at the top of the bag and suspend it above your plants. In larger grow rooms, it’s best to hang the bag above walkways for even distribution.
CO2BAG activates only at temperatures above 18 °C. Unopened bags should be stored in a cool, dry location below this temperature to prevent early activation.
Maximising Results
Higher CO₂ levels allow plants to tolerate temperatures that are 3–5 °C warmer than usual. This increased metabolic activity also raises the demand for water and nutrients.
To get the most out of CO2BAG, adjust your grow setup accordingly by increasing watering frequency, nutrient intake, and light intensity. Proper balance ensures your plants can fully benefit from the added carbon dioxide. Airflow counts just as much, and the Cotton Filter Sleeve 100 mm keeps dust off a 100 mm fitting.
