Caramelo is actually a sweet double-crossing of Lavender. Taking Lavender to the second potency created a multiple award-winning variety that stimulates the olfactory nerves with a very sweet yet subtle floral aroma with hints of musk, lavender and liquorice. Caramelo reacts great to pruning and develops a large number of lateral branches, making this cannabis variety the perfect choice for cultivation in a ScrOG setup.
Caramelo - Early Version compresses the wait to around 50 days without giving up the caramel sweetness.
Caramelo is a Sativa dominant hybrid that may resemble an Indica at first, but her Sativa heritage comes through in its growth potential and final size. Caramelo is not the fastest flowering strain, but haste makes waste. Caramelo requires 60-70 days of flowering before the thick and dense buds reach full maturity - outdoors the plants will be ready for the axe in early/mid October.
In the final stage the buds exhibit reddish, lilac and purple hues and are completely covered in a layer of sticky trichomes. Indoors it is possible to yield 400-450g/m² - outdoors you can expect a harvest of 500 grams per plant. After curing the buds boast about a THC level of 20% and a sugary sweet taste, seasoned with notes of walnut and Skunk. Be prepared for a potent and euphoric initial high that turns into a more relaxed feeling after a while while still retaining a pleasant level of cerebral stimulation.
