For making their Baikal Express they took one outstanding Russian variety, the scary-sounding “Killer from the Kuban Region” or Kubanskiy Ubiyza in Russian together with a “secret hybrid” and managed to cut her flowering time down to a very short 45-55 days. But it’s not only the short flowering that growers will like about Baikal Express, she’ll also shine with the typical Russian hardiness and robustness, making her a very strong strain that can easily tolerate even hot and dry growing conditions.
When you grow Baikal express in a typical indoor environment with a 600W light you can look forward to yields of up to 600g/m² indoors. Grow her outdoors and she can reward with up to 1200g per plant. Thanks to the Indica genetics, this 70% Sativa grows very fast but won’t get much taller than 130cm which puts her right in the optimal middle when it comes to size. In other words: you can grow her almost everywhere without much trouble.
The mix of their “secret hybrid" and the excellent Russian Ubiyza genetics and then the fact that she contains up to 22% of THC makes for a very potent and energizing Sativa effect that is still nicely balanced so you can focus and get on with your activities but without being entirely knocked out. The Kubanskiy Ubiyza taste still comes through when you smoke her. You can taste notes of citrus from the Ubiyza but compared to the original now with more sweet notes, making for a new, very unique but highly enjoyable smoke.
