Kannabia – Baby Boom Auto: A productive mix of Northern Light and Blueberry
Baby Boom Auto by Kannabia has a stable pedigree consisting of Northern Lights, Blueberry, and Ruderalis. Don’t mistake this strain for a dwarf-like, low-yielding variety. It has a great production potential inherited from Northern Lights, a fundamental breeding variety that is known for its excessive yields. The second plant used for this crossing, Blueberry, contributed by passing down its delicious flavour profile and the tendency to develop magnificent hues in flowering.
Baby Boom Auto reaches indoor heights of 80-110cm in just 55-60 days from seed. Not only the size is remarkable considering the short life cycle, indoor yields of up to 500g/m² are equally surprising. This variety is indica-dominant and easy to grow, but it reacts rather sensitive to excess fertilization. However, small amounts of slow releasing fertilisers will do the job just fine. At the end of flowering, leaves and buds may appear in magnificent colours ranging from purple to bluish hues. Outdoor yields can reach an incredible 200g per plant, harvested from plants that are up to 150cm tall.
Northern Lights gives Baby Boom Auto earthy aromas with influences of pine and old wood, but Blueberry, which won the HTCC in 2000 for Best Indica, contributes with its fruity flavour profile characterized by a mix of sweet-and-sour aromas reminiscent of plum jam. Smokers will be amazed by a smooth smoke that is very gentle on the inhale but at the same time seriously potent. Despite the fact that Baby Boom Auto is clearly indica-dominant, it manages to produce cerebral and euphoric effects. This soaring high slowly evolves into a deep state of relaxation over time.
Baby Boom Auto has so much more to offer than a small dwarf variety. It grows bigger, yields substantially more, thus deserves a name that reflects its true potential.
