Zamnesia - Lapis Lazuli: Awaken Your True Self
Belonging to the wind element, lapis lazuli is a sodium aluminium silicate often with pyrite and white calcite incrustations. Like many semiprecious gemstones, lapis lazuli has been mined and used for thousands of years, particularly as a prized jewel in ancient Egypt. In fact, lapis lazuli has been found in many a pharaoh's tomb. Today, it is most commonly used for spiritual purposes.
Properties
Believed to activate the third eye and throat chakra, lapis lazuli is commonly used to promote introspection, self-discovery, and true communication. It is also believed to be a stone of knowledge and to support our abilities to both learn and teach. Lapis lazuli is also commonly given as a gift to encourage spiritual journeys/awakening as well as shed light on one's true path. Moreover, lapis lazuli is thought to help draw one's attention beyond the mundane to identify patterns that may be blocking one's spiritual progress. Some spiritual healers also use lapis lazuli to help identify the karmic root of some diseases. Those flecks of pyrite find an echo in Blue Goldstone, though its sparkle comes from copper in glass rather than a natural mineral.
