Morning Glory (Ipomoea tricolor): A Mayan Ceremonial Vine
Morning Glory is a fast-growing annual twining vine in the Convolvulaceae family, native to Mexico and Central America and now cultivated across the world. Known scientifically as Ipomoea tricolor, the plant has a documented history of ceremonial use among the ancient Maya. Seeds of this species contain lysergic acid amide (LSA), an indole alkaloid and lysergamide chemically related to compounds such as LSD. Each pack contains 10g of seeds.
Trumpet Flowers and Heart-Shaped Leaves
The plant grows up to 8-10 feet tall, with heart-shaped, pubescent green leaves and striking trumpet-shaped flowers in purple, pink, blue, or white. Flowers open in the morning and fade by evening. Named cultivars include 'Heavenly Blue', 'Rainbow Flash', and 'Wedding Bells'.
