Ready to try something new? We've got your back. Muira puama (Ptychopetalum olacoides) might be exactly what you're looking for. A tree native to the rainforests of Brazil, the bark of muira puama is available in 50g packets. Traditionally, the trunk, bark, or root was chewed to experience the plant's effects on the body. Nowadays, you can simply prepare a tasty tea.
To make tea for two, grab a small pot and a tablespoon. You'll need 500ml of water and 1–2 tablespoons of the tree bark. Boil water and bark together for 15 minutes so the water can infuse thoroughly. The tea will have a pleasant, sweet flavour and warming properties. If you'd like to take the experience a step further, prepare a tea with 1 tablespoon of muira puama and add half a tablespoon of damiana powder. Drink after the powder dissolves, and enjoy. Muira puama is the best known of our aphrodisiac wood and bark. Where this is wood, Damiana is the leaf, and the two are often blended. Muira Puama 25x Extract compresses the same wood into a 25x concentrate.
