Pyramid Seeds created an indica-dominant cannabis cultivar that looks chill, and feels even chiller. They drew upon the genetics of a well-known Cali variety with high anthocyanin levels for the job—Mendocino Purps. This indica-heavy hybrid has been stoning smokers on the West Coast for quite some time. She made her mark on the cannabis world through multiple victories at High Times Cannabis Cups. She was the perfect choice for Pyramid Seeds when it came to developing a purple cultivar.
Purple Urkle is unique among many cannabis cultivars. Her colas feature distinct shades of purple, making them stand out in any grow room or garden. Blazed visitors might think their eyes are deceiving them, but there’s a simple scientific explanation for such beauty. Cultivars like Purple Urkle feature high levels of anthocyanins—the same pigment responsible for the colour of blueberries and red cabbage.
Purple Urkle grows well both indoors and outdoors. She can thrive in grow tents, but also handles the elements with ease. Indoor plants pump out between 350–400g/m² after a flowering time of 55–60 days. Plants raised outdoors produce a significant output of 750–1000g/plant and will be ready to harvest and trim during September.
Breeders refined Purple Urkle over several generations. She’s far more indica-dominant than her predecessor, featuring 80% indica genetics and 20% sativa. Her purple buds possess a generous THC level of 20%. The high is undoubtedly physical, plunging the mind into a state of euphoria, and the body into pure relaxation. Within seconds, stress is purged and peace arrives in its place. The sedating qualities of the high make it best reserved for the evening hours.
Purple Urkle flowers are as pleasing to the nose as they are to the eyes. The terpene mix within the buds generates aromas of tropical fruit, ripe grapes, and skunk.
