Scovilla - Pequin Dried Chillies: Small But Spicy
Pequin peppers originate from Tabasco, Mexico and are a staple ingredient in salsas and other regional dishes. They share that smoky Mexican pedigree with Chipotle Morita. Measuring under 2cm, these tiny peppers pack a big punch and a unique flavour that's both fruity and nutty. With a Scoville rating of 100,000, these little peppers are up to 8 times spicier than jalapeños and are highly valued all across Mexico.
As with all Scovilla peppers, these Pequin chillies have been carefully hand-selected, dried, and packaged to preserve and concentrate not only their spice, but also their unique aromas and flavours. For the longest shelf life, store your peppers in their original eco-friendly packaging in a dark, dry, and cool place.
