Downstem with Diffuser (Slits) 14mm: Smoke-Diffusing Action
This downstem adapter with diffuser slits fits any water pipe with standard SG14 (14.5mm) joints. It’s a great accessory so you can get cool, filtered hits with many different glass bowls and bongs. The adapter is made from heat-resistant borosilicate glass and features no logo.
The diffuser consists of 6 slits at the bottom. Available in various lengths from 135–165mm (measured from the top edge of the lower standard grinding).
How to Determine the Ideal Downstem Length
The downstem of your bong should ideally reach almost to the bottom of the water chamber. Measure the length from the bottom of the joint (the milky white part) to the end of the downstem.
A good way to go about finding the perfect downstem length is with a pencil and ruler. Put the pencil into the joint until it's about 1cm from the bottom of the water chamber. Measure to where the joint meets the inside wall of your bong. If you measure to the outside opening of the joint, subtract about 2.5cm as this is the average length of a joint.
