NYC Diesel by Soma Seeds gained its name from its roots in New York where it was first conceived. It has an interesting genetic background, thought to me a Mexican sativa mixed with Afghani and Hawaiian indicas. This has resulted in an unforgettable strain that is an all time favourite in Amsterdam coffee shops.
The smoke tastes and smells fruity like ripe red grapefruit, a strong tart citrus. It will induce a strong cerebral high with a hint of a body stone. This makes it a great choice when with friends or when you need a bit of focus or inspiration; it will get your creative juices flowing! NYC Diesel is a great stress reliever, which has also made it popular with medical users and those looking to unwind.
This strain can become a behemoth of buds, it grows very tall and produces a few thick, wide, deep green leaves that tinge purple close to harvest. Soma have reported heights of up to 12 feet outdoors; however whilst this strain is suitable for outdoor cultivation, it only really prospers to the previously mentioned degree in tropical climates and with optimum care. Under standard conditions you can expect the same sort of heights as other similar sativa hybrids. This strain also responds well to heavy cropping, encouraging the plant to form big top colas.
NYC Diesel by Soma Seeds is suitable for indoor, outdoor and greenhouse cultivation. Flowering times are roughly 70-80 days for optimal yields and plant heights can vary roughly between 1.2-1.5m under normal conditions. You can expect a yield of 400-500 g/m2 for your efforts.
