Helmand is Afghanistan's largest province, located in the south of the country along the border with Pakistan. Agriculture has long been one of the region's biggest economic strengths, producing top-shelf tobacco, opium, and, of course, cannabis. Helmand regular seeds have been hand-selected by the Afghan Seed Connection from local plants with the best aromas, flavours, and potency so you can grow this exceptional variety at home.
From the neighbouring southern province, Kandahar edges ahead as the strongest in the collection at 26% THC.
Helmand has a subtropical desert climate characterised by hot, dry conditions in summer and relatively cool winters and nights. Helmand seeds, therefore, sprout into hardy male and female plants that love arid, hot conditions (though they can perform well in other climates too). On average, Helmand plants grow tall and bushy, reaching max heights of 100–200 cm with large fan leaves and strong branches. If you like to train your plants, Helmand specimens are a great choice thanks to their stature and stress tolerance. Best sown outdoors in April/May, Helmand plants can be harvest-ready by October and yield 400–500 g/plant or 400–500 g/m² (depending on your growing style). Cool temperatures, especially during late flowering, boost this strain's already high resin production through the roof.
