Future Island combines genetics from Future #1 and Imperium X, making for a strong hybrid that performs exceptionally on its own but can also handle lots of training and grower intervention. Whether you grow her in a tent/room or outside, Future Island will undoubtedly earn her place among your favourite strains.
Its Anesia relative Purple Lobster matches it at roughly 34% THC.
Future Island is a strong hybrid that loves well-draining soil, a good supply of nutrients, and plenty of light. She is a fairly large strain, reaching indoor heights of up to 130–160cm and up to 200–270cm outdoors. She develops thick, broad foliage, and plenty of it; if you're an experienced grower, consider pruning, defoliating, and training Future Island to open up her canopy and ensure adequate light penetration all over the plant.
Given her solid genetics, Future Island is fairly resilient to pests and pathogens, but take care to keep humidity low during the final weeks of flowering. Her dense, sticky buds are very good at trapping moisture. Yields are impressive, clocking in at around 650g/m² inside and 800–1400g/plant outside.
The flavours, aromas, and effects of Future Island are really something else. Combining a rich mix of terpenes inherited from her parents, the buds boast a sweet fruit aroma reminiscent of ripe bananas, melons, mangoes, and peaches. Underlying these bold fruity overtones is a more subtle, fresh mint aroma, and her flavour is predominantly sweet and fruity with a super smooth exhale.
With 34% THC, Future Island’s effects hit super hard, producing an energising, almost psychedelic mental euphoria and a deep, full-body stone.
