A Plant Teacher from the Amazon Basin
Bobinsana (Calliandra angustifolia) is a small tree in the Fabaceae family, native to the river banks and waterways of the Amazon Basin. It grows across Peru, Ecuador, Colombia, Brazil, and Bolivia, and has a long history of traditional use among indigenous Amazonian peoples. In shamanic traditions, it earned the name 'plant teacher', a cultural designation that speaks to its place in Amazonian plant knowledge, not a product claim. Each pack contains 20g of dried Bobinsana leaves.
Amazonian tradition prizes it as a heart opener; for pure recall the Mexican Dream Herb remains the benchmark, and the ready-mixed Sweet Dreams Tea Blend covers the lazy evenings.
Preparing Bobinsana Leaves
Dried Bobinsana leaves are prepared as an infusion or decoction. Add the leaves to hot water and allow them to steep. The dried leaf format makes this straightforward to prepare at home, and the 20g pack gives you enough material to work with across multiple preparations. Unlike bark-based preparations, which require a longer decoction, the dried leaves are well suited to a simple hot-water infusion.
