ROYAL QUEEN SEEDS - SPECIAL QUEEN 1: SOME GROWERS REPORTED PLANTS OF 4+ METRES
The feminized Special Queen 1 by Royal Queen Seeds is a classic Skunk with Mexican, Colombian, and Afghan genes. But before you think about growing this highly productive plant—do you really have the space for her? That is a serious question as these plants swiftly reach a height of 150cm indoors. Outdoors, when she has the space to fully stretch, she has been known to hit an almost unheard of 4m. More realistic is around 3m, but that’s still super tall! Despite her height, everything else about her growth is easy as pie.
Special Queen 1 performs perfectly in both hydro and soil, and makes a great candidate for ScrOG and SOG setups. Special Queen 1 produces weed with a THC level of 14–18%, inducing a long-lasting, physically relaxing effect.
Although she is a 50/50 sativa/indica hybrid, Special Queen 1 has a pretty short flowering time of only 8 weeks, with some growers making the chop one week earlier. Still, we recommend giving her the full 8 weeks to completely mature those buds if you can. This way, she’ll be ready to harvest outdoors around the end of September. Indoors, one can expect a yield of 500–650g/m².
Outdoors, this figure could be much greater per plant. Unfortunately, cooler, rainier climates like those in northern Europe may not produce plants or yields of the same calibre as those grown in, say, southern Spain. But, who knows? With global warming, maybe this summer will be warm enough after all.
