An Eagle Stamped Into Solid Metal
The star of this TRIBE ashtray is the eagle itself, pressed clean across the metal so it reads as artwork more than a place to stub out. The dish measures 13.5cm across and sits low and flat on any surface. Because it is metal, not glass, you can knock it about without a second thought, and it slots in among our ashtrays as a collector's piece rather than a throwaway. The dish is deep enough to hold a night's worth of ash and butts, and the low rim keeps it stable when you tap out.
It is the second of five animal designs, so it is as much for the shelf as the coffee table; several reviewers call the range too good to actually use.
