Some people have compared the effects to Ecstasy, but others say it's much like cannabis. It also acts as an aphrodisiac. Originally a native of the Nile delta, following its rediscovery as a psychoactive, Blue Lotus (actually a water lily) is now grown around the world by professionals and amateurs. As this tincture gets measured out drop by drop, a Dropper Bottle is the gear made for the job. If you'd rather keep things disposable, a Plastic Pasteur Pipette (3ml) is the other way to draw up and measure a tincture. This tincture sits alongside the full range of relaxing botanicals in our smartshop.

BLUE LOTUS TINCTURE Active Compounds
Not well researched to date, Blue Lotus flower has only recently been found to contain the alkaloid nuciferine, which is soluble in alcohol but not known to be psychoactive. Also likely contains aporphine, a non-selective dopamine agonist. For a concentrated version of the same flower there's Blue Lotus 25x Extract, sitting among our other concentrated herbal extracts.
As a liquid, this tincture is an easy way in, and the dried blue lotus flowers are the classic route within our blue lotus range.
A tincture skips the brewing that most of the herb range needs, which is the whole point of buying the 15x rather than the dried flower.
