Zamnesia - California poppy: An Aesthetically Stunning Flower

California poppy, or Eschscholzia californica, is an ornamental flowering plant native to the United States and Mexico. Sold by Zamnesia in packets of 100 seeds, California poppy is an aesthetically stunning member of the Papaveraceae family, sporting bright orange, yellow, and red flowers. Some phenotypes may also present with stunning pink petals.

California poppy is a perennial plant that grows to heights of between 13–152cm. Accompanying its beautiful flowers is its blue-green foliage. Flowering of the plant occurs between February and September in the Northern Hemisphere. The flowers themselves may be quite elusive at times, closing up at night and in cloudy weather.
