Eucalyptus, known botanically as Eucalyptus globulus and sometimes called southern blue gum, belongs to the Myrtaceae family. Native to Tasmania and southern Victoria in Australia, it is one of the most widely recognised aromatic trees in the world. The leaves are the part used, and this product consists of 20g of shredded dried leaf. The species-level chemistry includes compounds such as pinene, sabinene, camphene, and limonene, characteristic of the plant's distinctive profile.

Using Eucalyptus as a loose-leaf infusion

Shredded dried eucalyptus leaves work well as a loose-leaf herbal infusion. Add the leaves to hot water and allow them to steep. The resulting infusion carries the same strong, camphoraceous aroma the fresh leaves are known for, cooling and sharply aromatic. Compared to pre-bagged herbal teas, loose-leaf infusion gives you more control over strength. Start with a small amount to find what suits you.
