Mexican Tarragon (Tagetes lucida): An Ancient Herb, and Much More
Rich in a variety of phytochemicals, Mexican tarragon is most commonly brewed into a tea. However, the Aztecs also used the herb to prepare a ritual incense known as Yauhtli, and in a drink known as chocolatl (or xocolatl). Another aster-family plant, Wormwood (Artemisia absinthium), comes as 50 grams of dried leaf and is also a classic brewing herb. Both are stocked with our other relaxing herbs.
