Desfrán is an already legendary master piece of a 100% sativa strain, bred by no less a figure than the owner of the Haze Magazine. Since its introduction it raked in several prizes at Cannabis Cups in South America, including awards for the most potent and most flavorful strain, so you can rest assured, if you are out for a kick-ass sativa, you can't go wrong with Desfrán.
Desfrán's genetic heritage consists of Mexican Oaxaca, Colombian Punto Rojo and Meao Thai - a Cannabis blend commonly known as Destroyer. The result of crossing Destroyer with itself is a highly productive and potent plant with a vigorous growth. Desfrán claims a lot of space, growing very tall with long branches - growers with limited space should bear in mind that this green beauty can triple its height during flowering.
Desfrán is suited for the SOG and ScrOG technique, growing particularly well when provided with plenty of space for the root system. After 9-10 weeks of flowering the plant has produced unusually dense and compact buds for a Sativa, so resinous, they look like glazed pine cones after drying. Harvesting the buds early can result in a very cerebral and psychedelic high, a later harvest provides a sweeter taste and more mellow sensation. The fully matured plant emanates a fruity aroma of pear and green apples - the flavor is that of pear and caramel, with hints of grapes and melon.
